Eugen and Gabriel Tătaru – a lifelong passion reflected in performance

Brothers Eugen and Gabriel Tătaru have shared a passion for racing pigeons since childhood. Over the years, that passion has developed into a commitment built on hard work, patience and experience, with each generation of pigeons marking another step in the development of their loft.

Selection, care and race preparation have always played an important part in their lives. Results have come through careful observation, perseverance and the determination to build a team capable of performing in demanding competitions.

After many rewarding years in marathon racing, circumstances led them to leave this category and focus on One Loft Race (OLR) competitions. Their experience found a new direction, while results at several one-loft races confirmed the quality of the pigeons selected in their loft.

For health reasons, Gabriel can no longer be as actively involved in the sport. Eugen continues the work they began together, carrying forward their shared experience and passion.

Their record includes leading positions in finals, semifinals, Hot Spot races, Derby and Extra Derby races, as well as notable Ace Pigeon rankings. These are complemented by results achieved by other fanciers with pigeons bred by the Tătaru brothers or descended from their birds.

Recorded across different seasons and competitions, these performances reflect the continuity of their selection programme and their pigeons’ ability to succeed even in difficult races, with low velocities and few arrivals on the day of liberation.

Transportation costs (both domestic and international) will be paid directly to the carriers.

The transportation rates are as follows

• International transport: 250 RON (50 EUR) per pigeon, for deliveries outside Romania.
• External transport: 125 RON (25 EUR) per pigeon for deliveries from Europe to Romania.
• Home delivery: 250 RON (50 EUR) per pigeon.
• Domestic transport within Romania: 75 RON (15 EUR) per pigeon.

Pigeons will be delivered only to county residences, except in cases where the buyer's residence is more than 25 km away from the designated meeting point. In such cases, the courier will recalculate the cost and arrange delivery within the 25 km radius.

Meetings on the roadside, at roundabouts, intersections, etc., are excluded.

The courier is required to notify the buyer one day before delivery and again 1.5 to 2 hours before arriving at the meeting point. Upon request and for an additional cost of 5 RON, pigeons can be delivered in a cardboard box.

Delivery times:

• 1-7 days from the date of collection for deliveries within Romania.
• 1-10 days for international deliveries.

Working hours:
Monday - Sunday, from 07:00 to 23:00.

During transportation, the pigeons are considered the property of the courier, who is directly responsible for their well-being. If a pigeon does not meet clinical standards (is unhealthy or weak), the courier is obligated to refuse collection from the seller and immediately inform the auction site's management. Any issues caused by the courier will be financially compensated by them.
