Viorel Slăniceanu, a passionate young pigeon fancier from Arad, has established himself in recent years as an important name in Romanian pigeon racing. As a member of the Romanian National Team in Category G, he has built his reputation through discipline, rigorous selection and remarkable results in sprint races.

His close friend, Marta Daniel, played an important role in his development by providing him with pigeons of exceptional genetic value. The first major confirmation came in 2022, when Viorel Slăniceanu achieved a National Top 10 result in the Young Birds Sprint category.

In 2023, he began collaborating with renowned breeder Bartoș Iștvan, recognised for the quality of his breeding loft. This partnership led to the creation of Slăniceanu & Bartoș, a team that quickly distinguished itself through consistent, intelligent and highly competitive pigeons.

The 2024 season brought exceptional results, including seven national Top 20 positions:

• 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 8th, 16th, 18th and 19th National – Young Birds Sprint;
• 2nd National – Sprint Fancier;
• 2nd National – Sprint Fancier Long-Term Performance.

The value of the partnership was confirmed once again in 2025 through outstanding achievements:

• 1st National, Category A – Dortmund Olympiad 2026;
• 1st National Sprint Fancier, Two-Year Long-Term Performance;
• 1st National Sprint Fancier, Three-Year Long-Term Performance;
• 3rd National Columba Young Birds Sprint Ace.
