Popescu Irinel, aged 50, from Piștești din Deal, Gorj County, is an active member of the “Constantin Brâncuși” Pigeon Racing Club in Târgu Jiu, affiliated with Columba. His loft houses approximately 180 pigeons, of which 70–80 are designated for racing, while the remainder form the breeding section.

The genetic foundation of his loft has been built through carefully selected acquisitions from renowned breeders in Romania and abroad.
