Liviu Perijoc – “The Man of the National Races”, Specialist in Marathon and Extreme Marathon Competitions

Liviu Perijoc, from Suceava, is one of the prominent names in Romanian pigeon racing, widely known in the sport as “The Man of the National Races.” With consistent results spanning more than a decade, from 2012 to 2026, he has built an impressive record at both national and provincial level, achieving outstanding performances particularly in Marathon and Extreme Marathon competitions.

Although he initially established himself as a successful all-round fancier, with important results in the General, Long Distance and Middle Distance categories, from 2019 onward he increasingly focused his selection on pigeons capable of performing in the toughest long-distance races.

This strategy led to major achievements, including 1st National Extreme Marathon Old Birds 2023, 1st National Ace Extreme Marathon Old Birds 2023, 1st World Best Pigeon Super Marathon 2023, and 1st Olympic, Category I – 2023.

An important role in building this successful family of pigeons was played by the exceptional breeder “Super Vaernewyck”, who is behind pigeons that contributed to several outstanding achievements, including Marathon Star Champion – Moldova Province titles.

The success did not end with the 2023 season. The results achieved in 2024, 2025 and 2026 confirm the continuity and quality of the loft and its ability to remain among the leading competitors in the national rankings.
