Ispas Mihăiță – Oltenia’s Champion in the Yearling Ace Marathon Category

The 2023 racing season brought Oltenia back into the spotlight of Romanian marathon pigeon racing, with Ispas Mihăiță distinguishing himself by winning 1st National in the Yearling Ace Marathon category. At a time when the war in Ukraine forced changes to race routes and presented breeders with new challenges, this result confirmed the ability of the region’s pigeons to adapt and compete at the highest level.

Known for his passion for long-distance racing, Ispas Mihăiță has focused his efforts on endurance events, building his loft around one essential principle: performance begins with quality pigeons. He studied the results and methods of leading Romanian fanciers and invested in bloodlines suited to his ambitions. His breeding loft therefore includes pigeons from the renowned Magirescu–Ojoc–Dorneanu trio, alongside birds from Cioacă Florin and Preda Gheorghe.

Careful selection and consistent hard work were rewarded with the national title. On a demanding route involving the crossing of two mountain ranges, the loft’s winged champion demonstrated outstanding navigational ability, endurance and consistency—decisive qualities in marathon racing.

The 2023 National Yearling Ace Marathon Champion title recognises both an exceptional pigeon and the dedication of a fancier who has pursued his passion with perseverance. For Ispas Mihăiță, this achievement crowns a strategy built on valuable bloodlines, rigorous selection and confidence in the potential of his own pigeons.

Pigeon transportation within Romania is provided by the following carriers:

Transportation costs, for both domestic and international deliveries, shall be determined through direct negotiation with the carriers. Payment for transportation services shall be made directly to the respective transport service providers.

DELIVERY CONDITIONS
Pigeons will be delivered exclusively to county capital cities, except in cases where the buyer's residence is located more than 25 km from the designated meeting point. In such circumstances, the carrier will recalculate the transportation cost and arrange delivery within a 25 km radius.

The designated meeting points for handing over pigeons are:

• Supermarket parking lots;
• Gas station parking lots.

For safety reasons, meetings on roadsides, at roundabouts, intersections, or in any other locations that may endanger road users are strictly prohibited.
The carrier is required to notify the buyer one day before delivery and approximately 1.5–2 hours before arrival at the agreed meeting point.
At the buyer's request, pigeons may be delivered in a cardboard box for an additional fee of 5 RON.

DELIVERY TIMES

• Domestic transportation: 1–7 days from the date the pigeons are collected, for deliveries within Romania;
• International transportation: 1–10 days for deliveries outside Romania.

WORKING HOURS
Monday – Sunday, from 07:00 to 23:00.

CARRIER'S RESPONSIBILITY
Throughout the entire transportation period, the pigeons shall be considered the property of the carrier, who assumes direct responsibility for their safety, health, and welfare.
If a pigeon is found to be in an unsatisfactory clinical condition, showing signs of illness, severe weakness, or other health problems, the carrier is required to refuse collection from the seller and immediately inform the management of the auction platform.

Any issue, loss, or damage caused by the carrier's fault during transportation shall be borne financially, in full, by the carrier.
