Whether it's the speed category or the marathon, Petrache Florin is the pigeon fancier good at everything, demonstrating countless times his vast ability to tackle all distance categories at the highest level.
The numerous appearances on the front page in provincial, national or international competitions have made him one of the most consistent breeders in Romania.
All these assets, the quality pigeons, but especially the desire for new challenges, made him win one of the most important distinctions awarded in the national championship in the 2022 season, namely the "Ferdinand I Trophy".
The "Ferdinand I Trophy" itself represents one of the most difficult awards that a Romanian pigeon fancier can obtain only through a complex approach to all flight categories.
Petrache Florin, being aware of the difficulty of obtaining this trophy, tried a different approach to each individual category, but especially to the number of flights designated to fulfill the category.
In addition to the fine qualities of an observer, at the first stages he relied on mature pigeons with experience, then towards the end of the season he emphasized the young ones who demonstrated consistency in arrivals.
For the speed category, the male RO 20-1191020, the County Speed Champion at the end of the season, was part of the team nominated at each stage. Regarding his origin, he is a combination of Marc&Geert Pollin x Gino Clicque pigeons.
In the middle distance category, another piece of resistance of the team was a veteran of the flight compartment RO 17-009749 who achieved an impressive record in the General Palmares 3 years category. As for origin, this is a son of "Kippa 09", a good breeder in the Florin Petrache kennel, having until now countless descendants with top results.
The long distance category was also marked by the presence of the breeder "Kippa 09", which also left its mark here through the direct daughter RO 19-420055, occupying the 3rd place As Fond Maturi 2022. The team was completed by RO 17-363304, occupying the place 3 County Fond Palmares 3 years.
RO 18-000712, winner of 1st place Provincial Seta 919 km from 9274 p, was part of the marathon team, but also male RO 2020-202082, who is announced to be the new star in the Petrache Florin kennel at marathon competitions. He managed to place himself in 2nd place in the "Performance Endurance Quality" category, but also in 3rd place in the County AS Marathon. As origin, he is the son of the 2nd place National Marathon Weibchen 2015 of the Kipp U. Sohne loft.
In the Extreme Marathon category, Florin Petrache also bet on a mature pigeon, one of the oldest pigeons in the flight section. RO 2017-009724 is a grandson of the already famous "Kippa 09", the one that left its mark on all the fliers in the breeding year. The consistency and flawless finishes made RO 2017-0009724 take the 1st place AS Maraton Palmares 3 years, respectively the 1st place Madona Judetean at Palmares 3, 4 and 5 years.
Analyzing each category separately, the spectacular arrivals, but above all their consistency, we can say that Petrache Florin is the pigeon fancier of the moment in terms of the complexity and vast approach to all categories. Regarding the flight system, the entire flight batch was competed in widowhood, both partners being engaged in competitions, without any extra motivation.

I appreciate and want to note at the same time the way in which the awards are organized for those who manage to obtain results in the national championship, the atmosphere of the event being one of a kind," Petrache Florin told us.
